CREATING HOME TOGETHER

Welcome to our place.

COMMUNITY IS OUR HERITAGE

Our family has belonged to these woods for 4 generations, each adding their personality to our shared history. In 1999, my dad built the two-bedroom loft for my sister and brother-in-law, and from 2018–2025, the studio earned a reputation as Manitoba’s Most Hospitable vacation rental. Today, each unit offers a calm, inspiring place to live, work, and play, backed by our guidance, local know-how, and extra neighbourly care to make settling in a breeze.

Lisa goes the extra mile to make sure we feel comfortable & welcome.

Hi, I'm Lisa.

My pronouns are she / her / hers.

A white woman with brown eye and wire-rimmed round glasses smiles into the camera. Her dark blonde har is pulled back and a tan striped scarf is around her neck. The background is filled with trees in fall foliage, a small lake in the background, and a blue sky overhead.

I grew up between Manitoba and Burkina Faso, experiencing home—and the world—through a kaleidoscope lens of belonging, culture, and care. Now, my family is a blend of Mennonite and Anishinaabe heritage, and we are learning to live in harmony with the rhythms of this land.

Years as a community-based peacebuilder taught me how to create spaces where people feel supported and seen, while living with a severe chronic illness has shown me how to slow down, notice the small details, and embrace everyday transformations.

I bring all of this to our long-term rentals, crafting homes where residents can settle in, connect with the woods and water, and live at a gentle, restorative pace. From move-in guidance to thoughtful touches throughout each home, my goal is simple: to make your space feel lighter, calmer, and fully yours.
